This Training is recommended for Caregivers that are employed by a Home Care Organization. Give Yourself an Added Advantage when applying for a Caregiver position by being AB1217 Trained!
The Home Care Services Consumer Protection Act of 2013 (AB 1217)
5 Hour Annual Training Course:
- Client Rights And Safety
- How to Provide for and respond to a client's daily Living needs
- How to report, prevent and detect abuse and neglect
- How to assist a client with personal hygiene and other home care services
- How to safely transport a client
The Caregiver Home Care Aide training is a great program designed to help you in your caregiver career. The training is divided into 5 sections and designed to help you advance your caregiving skills and competency. Class is 5 hours (approximate).
Caregiver Course $60
The 5 hours of annual training IS TRANSFERABLE from one Home Care Organization to another.
5 Hour Annual Training Course (above) combined with Basic First Aid Course Topics, including:
- Personal Safety
- Assessing for Response
- Mechanism for Spinal Injury
- Control of Bleeding
- Managing Shock, Pain, Severe Pressure, or Discomfort in Chest
- Breathing Difficulty, Shortness of Breath
- Severe Abdominal Pain
- Swollen, Painful, Deformed Limb
- Specific First Aid Problems
- Moving Patients,& more.
Caregiver/First Aid Combo Course $95
Class may be broken into 2 or 3 dates, Student must Attend All Class sessions to receive certification. Course Attendance does not guarantee employment as an Aide or Caregiver. Combination Class is approximately 7.5 hours.
