Course Descriptions

Heartsaver®CPR AED Classroom

Heartsaver® CPR AED is a course that teaches adult, Infant and Child CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking in an adult, child and infant. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. This class is held several times each week in our Santa Barbara Training Facility.

Heartsaver® CPR AED and AHA Basic First Aid Combination CLASSROOM

This course complies with CA EMSA for Licensed Child Care Providers. The course will also include the Heart Saver AED curriculum. Upon completion of this course, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED Course Completion Card that is valid for two years.

Heartsaver® Basic First Aid CLASSROOM

This is a basic First Aid course for all ages.

Online Blended Courses

American Heart Association now offers Online/Blended courses. Online/Blended BLS CPR courses are the same courses as the onsite trainings – the difference is the class room portion is completed online rather than in the classroom and students usually complete this portion in less time than the classroom lecture course. Online/Blended training combines the convenience of online training with a shortened face to face session. The face to face session covers a review, practice time, skill evaluation and written test and only takes about an hour!

Online Blended Heartsaver® CPR AED Key Code And Skill Session

Upon purchasing the AHA Heartsaver® Part One, you will receive an email with the course “key.” A key is a 12–digit alphanumeric code that is used to access purchased courses. Using a Key for Course Access is easy! Complete the Online AHA website registration. Skills sessions (Parts 2-3) must be completed within 60 days of completing the online course material or you will need to purchase another key code.

Heartsaver®CPR AED Classroom Combined with Online Blended AHA First Aid

For this class, you complete the course work online. Then you MUST come to our Training Facility for a face to face hands on skill test to receive a certification card.

Technical Requirements/Online Classes

NO refund on any portion of the Online Course Key code once it has been purchased.
Student may make up to two (2) attempts to pass the online testing portion. If you do not pass the online testing, you will be required to purchase an additional course key code. Students are allowed up to 60 days after the completion of the online part of the course to complete the skills session. If you do not pass the online testing in 2 attempts or you do not have a skills session completed within 60 days of completing the online part 1, a new Key code purchase is required.
